Dr. Nicole Anderson has been practicing Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine since 2013. She has completed 7 years of training in Chinese medicine, herbal medicine and integrative health to achieve her master’s and clinical doctorate in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. As part of her doctorate, she specialized in PTSD / trauma work, a passion that continues to this day, as well as pain management and women’s health. During her training Dr. Anderson completed clinical rotations at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in the Stroke/Rehabilitation department, Yue Yang Hospital in Shanghai, China, Gotu Medical College and Shikoku Medical College in Japan. Her experience includes being Co-Director of BAYVAC, the Bay Area Veterans Acupuncture Clinic and Project Coordinator for Acupuncturists Without Borders. Most recently she co-owned East-West Natural Medicine in Santa Rosa, California, a thriving acupuncture and wellness clinic. She has recently moved to Saint Louis, MO to be closer to her husband’s family.
Dr. Anderson is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their wellness objectives – combining skills and expertise that span acupuncture, integrative Chinese medicine, nutrition/lifestyle coaching and herbal medicine. Her primary goal is to empower her patients to have greater control over their health. Dr. Anderson has expertise in a variety of acupuncture styles and needle techniques, including Japanese gentle needling, auricular (ear acupuncture), Master Tong and Tan, and channel / zang-fu. Her treatments may involve electro-acupuncture, heat therapy, herbal medicine, nutritional recommendations, cupping and Gua Sha.
Dr. Anderson specializes in pain management, stress management, emotional balancing, women’s health and digestive health by blending Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture techniques to best address the root and branch of health imbalances.
