Karen believes that massage therapy is part of an overall wellness plan. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2005 after graduating from a 1000-hour education program in Seattle. She has held both full and part-time LMT
positions in Washington state and Missouri. The school was focused primarily on treatment, so it provided a solid foundation in anatomy and physiology. Having worked in both treatment and spa settings allows Karen to customize the massage for a client’s individual needs, combining both knowledge and intuition to maximize the benefits of each session.
Most people want to make time in their lives for physical fitness, pay attention to eating healthy food, get enough rest, make time for relaxation, have a fulfilling job, and enjoy activities with other people. Yes, that is a lot to achieve! And, it rarely happens on an on-going basis for most of us. Massage therapy can touch a person on many levels — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Focusing only on yourself for a couple of hours by receiving a massage regularly can influence overall well-being and balance.
